Rumblings…and the rumor mill

Over the past few days, I have heard a few rumors surfacing about the changes happening here at Crown and I wanted to be sure that you are kept up to date with the most current and accurate information possible.

1.    Crown is not in a financial crisis or “closing the doors”. We are strategically restructuring to operate with focus and efficiency. We are practicing what we preach: good stewardship.

2.    Crown is not changing our mission of teaching God’s financial principles. Our global focus includes continued ministry in the United States.  Global leadership, US Field representatives, Seminar Instructors, Money Map Coaches and small group bible studies and many of the same resources and tools we use today will be continued in the future while looking to operate in new and improved ways.

3.    We will be ending our 30-minute radio program, Money Life on March 4th. We are not ending our outreach through media. In fact, we are excited about the use of new and improved forms of media that will be highly leveraged for our global audience. We will continue to produce My Money Life, podcasts, video casts, a new blog that can be accessed on Crown.org and short-films. We will also stay in touch and grow our global community on Facebook and Twitter.

Let’s work hard to keep everyone on the same page to avoid unnecessary confusion that the Enemy will try to create. By the way, I am very proud of the way the staff is responding; both those who are staying and those who will be transitioning out of Crown. This is a confirmation of the professionalism and Godly maturity of the staff. Some have even asked to continue serving in a full time role as a volunteer!

We are excited about what God is doing in and through Crown and ask for your continued prayers as we look to the future.

Thanks for keeping us updated on where God is leading the ministry. May He be glorified in amazing ways through Crown’s global mission!

  2. Admin says:

I would imagine that giving/donations are way down at crown (as they are with my church) and you are doing this to reduce expenses. I’m guessing that air time on Radio is not cheap, and that would be one of the first things to go in tough times to reduce expenses…

Thank you for taking the time post your comment. We are glad you are here and willing to share your thoughts!

Many people know us by our 30-minute radio program designed to encourage and equip our listeners. The high cost to provide content through that channel, combined with current listener trends that show the audience is declining have led us to adjust our strategy. People are asking for and we will provide Crown’s resources in different ways that are more convenient, practical and fiscally responsible.

We are excited about the use of new and improved forms of media that will be highly leveraged for our global audience. We will continue to produce My Money Life, podcasts, video casts, a new blog that can be accessed on Crown.org and short-films. We will also stay in touch and grow our global community on Facebook and Twitter.

      Stay tuned!

Thank you so much to Chuck and the Crown Ministry staff for producing the Money Life podcasts. I listen to them every day and have been tremendously blessed by the information you offer in them. I completely support your decision, and look forward to continuing to stay engaged in your ministry as you evolve.

    • Crown Financial Ministries says:

      Kyler,

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and for listening to the MoneyLife podcasts! We are so glad that they have been a blessing to you.

      Have a blessed day!

  4. Scott says:

I am sadden at the news. But I know God is with Crown and will continue to pray and work toward being able to offer support hopefully one day soon.

  5. Ron says:

I’m still a tad unsure of something; are you still going to produce MoneyLife but only make it available via podcasts or are you totally finished with it’s production?

    • Crown Financial Ministries says:

      Ron,

Yes, we will continue to product MoneyLife but it will only be available via podcast and online audio. Please let us know if you have any further questions!

      Have a blessed day!

  6. Fred Aiken says:

Like most of the people who have replied, I am saddened by the demise of the daily radio broadcast, Money Life. While I did not have the opportunity to listen to the broadcast consistently, I had been able to catch up by listening to the braodcasts by listening to the previous broadcasts from your website. I have found your ministry to be a blessing from God to the extent that I felt called to donate monthly to support the radio ministry. With today’s new advances in technology, I am looking forward to receiving the interactive dialog of the radio broadcast in another fiscally responsible manner. Praise be to God that this ministry will brow and prosper.
